RICHARD'S RISE TO FAME IN THE WORLD OF ENTERTAINMENT

Richard Morrow started in entertainment by forming his first band “The Janitors" at the age of sixteen. He went on to create one of the top groups in Ireland, namely the "Carpetbaggers". This group became a household name.The five lads shared stages and toured with the likes of The Hollies, Roy Orbison, Dave Dee, Dozy Beaky Mick and Titch, The Seachers, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Dusty Springfield, Van Morrison, plus a young Tom Jones and Englebert Humperdinck.

BRIAN ROSSI

Brian Rossi was Northern Irelands top show man when Richard met him in the Plaza Ballroom, Belfast. Brian fronted the "Golden Eagles" show band then featuring a young and unknown saxophone player by the name of "Van Morrison". Brian booked Richard on behalf of Mecca Ballrooms as the youngest Disc Jockey of the time to warm up audiances exceeding two thousand people, six nights a week plus lunch time dancing. Richard attributes a lot of this stage craft today learnt and created by Brian Rossi.

At the hight of the troubles in Belfast Brian left for England were he formed chart topping group The Wheels. Brian Died at the age of only fourty seven and is today still remembered as "Mr Blackpool".

Today his daughter "Tamara" follows in his foot steps with one of the most captivating voices to be heard for many years.

RICHARD AND HIS DAYS WITH HIS MANAGER AND COMEDIAN THE LATE JAMES YOUNG

Richard and the Carpetbaggers met the late great James Young, who took them under his wing as manager. He progressed them into the world of Cabaret. Richard updated two standard songs YOUNG and FOOLISH and YOUNG at HEART, as the album titles and opening music for James first one man show. Ricard had also lyrical input to some of Jimmy's most famous pieces. Sadly Jimmy died before being able to witness one of the top stage hypnotists today.

THE DISCO REVOLUTION

It was when the music and cabaret scene in Northern Ireland started to come to an end due to "TROUBLES" that Richard quickly realised that the disco revolution had indeed arrived. He became one of the most competent, popular and successful DJ's in the country. Richard went on to create the well known ST PEPPER DISCO SHOWS in towns spread across Ireland.
He continued his journey in all round entertainment by promoting various shows and events both North and South of the border. It was one of these which lead him to meeting and working with his eventual mentor and the World's Greatest Hypnotist of the time Edwin Heath.

EDWIN HEATH

It was Edwin Heath who indeed changed Richard's outlook on the world of entertainment by introducing him to Stage Hypnosis. When watching and working with Edwin that the skills of this master started to interest him. Edwin recognised the enthusiasm and underlying skill that was indeed to make Richard the respected and modern comedy world hypnotist he is today. Sadly Edwin passed away some years ago. Richard is entertaining audiance both young and old many of which still remember the late great Edwin Health.

Richard entertains world wide with his show, he appears on top cruise liners and has entertained at celebrity weddings. He has performed for numerous blue chip corporate companies throughout the world.

However he keeps his roots based in Northern Ireland close to his family, were he is without doubt one of the most popular, respected, and requested entertainers around. He performs at Weddings, Charity/Fundraising Events, Private Parties/Anniversaries as well as Sport/Social Clubs.

Cruising hypnotists Richard Morrow and Christopher Carees joined forces in 2009 to perform together on one stage, with a production called BACK TO BACK.
